SimplyBudget started with a simple frustration, most budgeting apps felt overly complicated.

Many finance tools were packed with difficult setup processes, outdated interfaces, confusing dashboards, and features that made tracking expenses feel more stressful than helpful. Instead of encouraging consistency, they often pushed users away completely.

The original vision behind SimplyBudget was to create something different.

The goal was to design a finance app that feels approachable for everyone, especially students and younger users who are just beginning to understand personal finance. Instead of building around spreadsheets and accounting terminology, SimplyBudget focuses on simplicity, automation, and ease of use.

Over time, that vision evolved into a more AI-powered experience.

Features like voice expense logging, automatic transaction detection, AI categorization, and Ask Me were all designed with the same purpose, reducing friction and helping users spend less time manually managing finances.

The redesign introduced in SimplyBudget 7.4 represents the biggest step toward that vision so far. The app was rebuilt from scratch with a cleaner interface, improved usability, and a stronger focus on what matters most.

At the same time, unnecessary features were removed to keep the experience focused and lightweight.
